The morning began with us rising very early to get our car serviced again at the dealership close by my parents' house. We were able to get a loaner car for the day and we took it to Hollywood to try our chance at the Price Is Right.
We grabbed a bite to eat at the farmer's market close to the CBS studio. We decided to eat before we got in line because we'd heard that it was going to take quite a few hours just to get seated in the studio. Well, we certainly heard correctly. There was a concession stand for snacks, drinks, and some sandwiches but they were kind of pricey. Glad we filled our bellies a little before we stood in that hot line.
When we got in line for the Price Is Right, we met some fun and interesting people. The woman behind us, Laverne, a retired woman from Kentucky, drove all the way from Louisville to CA with her husband. Guess we weren't the only ones who drove cross country! We also met two girls from Boston, MA, who were traveling cross country and driving along the west coast before flying back. Such fun people!
Since we couldn't take any pictures in the studio, all I can say is that if you ever get a chance to get tickets for the show, do it! Just meeting people and seeing all the craziness plus the show itself was AMAZING! BTW, be sure to tune in on October 20th!
After the taping was over, everyone got to leave. Boy, were we hungry! We met my aunt, cousin, parents, and sisters at the Hometown Buffet. It's kind of like the Golden Corral or Ryan's back home. Mmm......a great way to end an exhausting but fun day!
