Ahhh......we woke up at 10:00 a.m. and quickly got ready to go to dim sum at the Monterey Palace Restaurant. When we got there, we could hardly find parking. Apparently, holidays are the most popular times for dim sum. We had to wait a good hour before getting seated. The food was definitely worth the wait! We had all sorts of dishes - from pork buns to special shrimp wraps to delicious desserts of steamed buns with sweet cream. Yum-my!
After dim sum, we headed over to my stepmother's sister's house to rest a little before we went back out. Thirty minutes later, we got back in the car and headed East toward Redondo Beach, CA.
We stopped at the Del Amo Fashion Center for a few hours to do some shopping. Yay!

By the time we left the mall and headed toward the beach it was 5:00 p.m. When we neared the beach, parking was, again, very hard to find. We circled around for a good twenty minutes before we found a nice spot. We walked a few blocks and found the most amazing sight - the beach with the Pacific Ocean! We immediately stripped off our sandals and put our toes in the sand and water. Man, that felt good. The best part of the night was going on the pier and watching the fireworks with dolphins and sea lions swimming in the distance. Amazing!
By the time we got back to our car and got out of the city, it was already 11:30 p.m. and we were HUNGRY! I think the best part of L.A. is that no matter what time of night, you can always find a Chinese restaurant open for business.

The NYC Seafood Restaurant was delicious! We had sauteed clams in special sauce, special Chinese fish porridge, and several other dishes that were equally appetizing.
The night ended with us very satisfied but also extremely exhausted. Can't wait for tomorrow!
